Secrets from the moon
If the moon could whisper secrets how would you suppose they would travel to you? Through the wind? Or perhaps a game of telephone. The wind would pick the secret up first, whispering it to the trees, who in turn tell the birds, and the birds end up chirping it to me. A faulty system if I’m honest, for I think we’ve all learned that information passed down by word of mouth is bound to get twisted some how.
What would you propose the moon would say?I like to believe she would whisper encouraging words to those sulking under her lights embrace. She would say “my light is dim, but It is light nonetheless. Wrap yourself tightly under my arms, and the pain will dissolve slowly with each day break.”
If the moon could whisper secrets, do you think she would bless our ears? perhaps that’s why the wind sings soft lullabies towards the night sky.
